"Your CD, 'Proper Preparation Creates A Winning Presentation' is excellent. I am the Chairman and CEO of The Himmel Group. I regularly give speeches. After listening to your CD, I learned how to improve my speeches so that I would be more engaging to my audience. Thank you for an excellent product."
Jeffrey Himmel, CEO The Himmel Group, New York, NY
"I wanted to let you know that I found your CD loaded with good information and solid professional advice. I will recommend it to anyone I know who ever has a presentation whether the audience is large or small. I recently gave my first major presentation, an all-day seminar at Forbes magazine. Fortunately, I listened to and heeded your suggestions regarding audience identification, props, preparation, organization and more. I really feel that your CD is a must preparatory tool for any presenter."
Carol Super, Account Manager Media Networks, New York, NY
"Our presentation in Atlanta went very well and many thanks for the support, encouragement and ideas given. I had found your CD and ideas to be very helpful. In talking with the many presenters in Atlanta, I feel this offered value as a whole. I plan from this point on to utilize your ideas for a better delivery for my projects in the future and again only wished that we as presenters had more time to hone this skill with your personal assistance. I now understand how to make our presentation powerful and a better sell."

"As first time users of Victoria Chorbajian's workshop on Presentation Skills and CD: "Proper Preparation Creates A Winning Presentation", the response was unanimous: A hit! Each participant walked away from the workshop with specific recommendations that could be immediately put into action. Her new CD was the perfect follow-up to the workshop content and kept the focus on preparation and improvement."

Chorbajian's self-published audio is similar to her 1998 audio called PUBLIC SPEAKING & YOU: The #1 Fear, but this program is focused less on fear and more on how to prepare and organize a talk. Both audios are compactly written and have excellent ideas, all framed with clear titles and introductory summaries of each section. The beauty of Chorbajian's presentation is how well she balances information about the teaching, performing, and audience-engagement aspects of a presentation. There are also tips on how to divide presentations when there are two presenters and how to handle equipment failure. An excellent resource for anyone who gives talks or seminars. T.W. "Proper Preparation Creates A Winning Presentation"
by Victoria Chorbajian
Chorbajian, a public speaking coach, offers an effective primer on preparing a presentation. Focusing on the person who is asked by a supervisor to make a speech, the author offers an outline to help the preparer organize thoughts, identify goals, and do the writing. Chorbajian then offers a seven-step program to make the written words translate into a powerful presentation, aid the speaker in identifying technical weaknesses in the speech, and train the body to present the material appropriately. She stresses the need to practice congruent voice and body language (especially important if someone else has written the presentation). Listeners also gain insight in preparing a speech with a group and how to anticipate audience questions and deal with interruptions. While the program is aimed at the new or struggling speaker, it offers important tips for veterans. Recommended specifically for public and corporate libraries. ---Kathleen A. Sullivan, Phoenix P.L.
