A participant on the presidential speechwriters panel at the 2001 Communication's Speechwriters Conference in Washington, D.C., Chorbajian along with Liz Carpenter (former speechwriter for Lyndon B. Johnson), Craig Smith (former speechwriter to Pres. Gerald Ford) and Robert Rackleff (former speechwriter to President Jimmy Carter) commented on George W. Bush's inaugural speech and Gore's concession speech from a written and public speaking perspective.
